This piece sits under our complete guide to launching a peptide and wellness program. Here we get specific about the in house workload.

Can a clinic run a peptide program without a consultant?

It can. Nothing in federal or North Carolina rules says you need outside help. What you need is the work done well, by someone who owns it.

The honest question isn't "can we?" It's "who on our team has real hours every week for this, without taking them from patients?"

What does a peptide program require in house?

Here's the work, grouped the way we think about it.

Oversight

  • A licensed prescriber, and a medical director where your structure needs one.
  • Written supervision or collaborative practice arrangements for NPs and PAs, following NC Medical Board and NC Board of Nursing rules.
  • Protocols written and approved by your provider. Not borrowed from a vendor.
  • Chart review on a set schedule.

Sourcing

  • A shortlist of suppliers that sell only to verified clinics.
  • License checks with the NC Board of Pharmacy, and FDA's registered outsourcing facility list where relevant.
  • A process for certificates of analysis, lot numbers and cold chain receiving.
  • Someone who keeps checking, because compounding rules change.

Claims

  • Website, social and front desk scripts reviewed against the FTC's Health Products Compliance Guidance.
  • No outcome promises, no "treats" or "cures" language, and no suggestion that compounded products are FDA approved.

Operations

  • Visit types, intake, consents and charting templates in your EMR.
  • Cash pay checkout.
  • Ordering, receiving, storage and par levels.
  • Staff training and a rehearsal before patients arrive.

That's a real job. In a small practice it usually lands on the owner.

What does a partner actually take on?

It depends on the partner. Here's how our RevMed partnership works.

We work with RevMed because "RevMed is built and run by clinic operators." We'll get your RevMed account open, and RevMed's launch team runs a done with you, 60 day launch alongside you, with a go or no go review before a small soft open. The program is delivered personally by RevMed's two principals, and "You won't be handed off to a junior team."

There are three tiers: Service Line Launch, Guided Clinic Build and Full Clinic Partner. "Your tier sets how much of it we do alongside you."

After launch, RevMed Shop lets verified clinics order equipment, diagnostics, peptides, consumables and wellness products from one account. Products come from licensed, vetted pharmacy and laboratory partners.

No revenue is guaranteed, and a partner doesn't change who's responsible for care.

What stays with your clinic either way?

Every clinical decision. Who's a candidate, what's prescribed, how it's supervised and how patients are followed. Treatment is prescribed and supervised by your licensed provider. "RevMed's clinical team supports your providers", and we don't give clinical, dosing or protocol advice.

How do you decide?

Ask your team four questions.

  1. Who will own sourcing, compliance and systems, and how many hours a week can they give it?
  2. Are we comfortable verifying supplier licenses and tracking rule changes ourselves?
  3. Do we want a fixed calendar with gates, or are we fine building as we go?
  4. Would our staff rather be with patients than managing vendors?

If the answers point to building it yourself, start with the Peptide Program Launch Checklist and our operator's roadmap. If they point to a partner, here's the plan:

  1. Open your clinic account through our Partner Link (https://revmedshop.com/register?ref=1e7f3885-584e-47ca-bdb0-91db240ce54e).
  2. Launch with RevMed's setup support, at the tier that fits.
  3. Order from one source. One login, one invoice.

Common questions

Is peptide clinic consulting the same as a course?

No. A course teaches. RevMed's launch team runs a done with you build on a fixed 60 day calendar, with gates and rehearsals before you open to the public.

Will a partner make our program successful?

No one can promise that, and no revenue is guaranteed. A partner can share the setup work. How the program runs is still up to your team.

Can we start in house and partner later?

Yes. You can start on your own and bring in support at any point. RevMed also says you can move up a tier at any point.

Who makes clinical decisions if we partner?

Your licensed provider, always.
